Michael Winston, CFA, has more than a decade of finance leadership experience. He served Millennium Partners in New York as director of Catapult Capital Management, LLC, where he co-managed a billion dollar merger arbitrage, value and special situation investment portfolio. Over his tenure, Michael Winston, CFA, managed a portfolio valued at roughly $1 billion. His finance background also includes a period as analyst with ZS Crossover Management II, LLC. While there, he worked on a team tasked with managing $100 million worth of assets.

His firm, Sutton View, co-led a successful activist litigation against the board of Dole Foods in the company's management led buyout, and obtained a 35% increase in total consideration on behalf of all shareholders. Sutton View advises one or more of the largest academic endowments in the world.

Before establishing himself in finance, Mr. Winston enrolled at Columbia Business School, from which he earned his MBA in finance and real estate. Earlier in his educational career, he received a BA in economics from Cornell University where he won the Eastern U.S. Debate Championship twice. While an undergraduate, he studied abroad at the London School of Economics for a year.

An investor active in his broader professional community, he holds membership with both the New York Society of Securities Analysts, the CFA Institute and the Economic Club of New York.
